So N E way...once of our tasks was to put together a journal so that we would have a place to put the provided resources as well as the bits and pieces we glean from doing the exercises and other activities.
I purchased one of the new Recollections journals (similar to Smash books, but they're three-ring binders) and wanted to decorate the cover. For the most part, the cover was blank except for the Polaroid-looking squares, the black triangle and the quote "Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion."
I decided to add pictures of my "tween" to the Polaroid squares, but I needed something else. I went searching through my Clip-It-Up (which is overladen with "stuff") and came across these stickers about sons and boys. They have a copyright date of 2002! I added some Washi tape, a few bits of cardstock, a little red marker, and the "boys will be boys" sticker and called it done!
Wonder what other gems I have hiding in my stash? Maybe this will renew my pledge to self to minimize shopping for scrappy stuff... What do you think?
So the lesson for today is this: Don't sleep your stash. You may have lots of hidden gems in there that you've probably forgotten about in your quest to have the latest and greatest.
All the best!
